had always wanted to share the awesome Staycation experience at Quincy during our 2.5 years anniversary plus Vday celebration but never got my ass down to do it. so, as postdated as it might be, here’s the entry!
here’s the view of the boutique hotel taken from the streets opposite. Quincy won a couple of awards the past 2 years and is one of the ten best hotels in Singapore as featured on CNN Travel. the service staff at the front desk surprised us with a personal touch by guiding us up to our rooms and giving us a really detailed explanation of the facilities available.
here’s our comfy king-size bed for the night. there was a switch for the automated blinds at the side of the bed as well.
the large TV with HDMI, USB and other inputs available. it was a pity we didn’t bring our own shows along but the channels available were decent enough.
the view of the bed from the toilet – yup it’s a see-through bathroom but of cos, there are blinds you can lower too if you prefer some privacy while using the showers. didn’t manage to snap but beside this bathtub, a rainforest shower is also available. i kinda like the design of how you can enter the bathtub from the dry area (where i’m standing) or from the wet area (behind this transparent door) where the rainforest shower is although boyf begs to differ.
another view of the bathroom. didn’t manage to capture, as well, there was a butt-washing thingy in the toilet bowl. i wasn’t brave enough to try but boyf seemed to enjoy it much.. lol.
the high-quality toiletries by Molton Brown, as good as the ones by Malin + Goetz at Montigo.
the open concept wardrobe which shares a door with the bathroom.
the complimentary mini bar and drinks in the fridge. yup, everything has already been paid for!
Quincy also provides complimentary all-day dining Dean & DeLuca and Modesto’s! amazing right?
but well, we only headed down for some snacks in the late afternoon as we checked-in late and went out to town for dinner after that. should have came back for the cocktails and hot food for dinner since they serve food all the way till 8.30pm. *regrets* will definitely do it the next time (if any) i’m there. too tempted by the “walking distance” to town, that’s why…
the view of their infinity pool at the 12th floor in the day and at night. we went for a swim at like 12am since it was opened 24 hours. i would recommend going in the day because it’s way too cold to dip in the water after dark. plus, the wind was and still will be super strong at that level. love the awesome view of town from underwater though!
part of the breakfast spread in the morning. in short, you’ll never go hungry at your stay with Quincy.
with so many shopping malls in the Orchard area within walking distance from the hotel, there is no worrying of having nowhere to go or nothing to do. you can even catch a late-night movie at Shaw Lido and not having to bother about the taxi midnight surcharge or driving home. if not, just spend the entire day in the hotel – swim in the infinity pool, work out at the gym, sweat it out in the sauna/steam rooms, connect your own devices to watch shows in the room, or simply eat your hearts out at the lobby – with all your money’s worth.
