Reflection

the reflection we see in the mirror is nothing but an image of our shells, hiding everything that’s within. if the heart turns evil, will this shell reflect the deterioration coupled with the change too? i used to think i was beautiful, but suddenly, i feel so small and ugly. i tried so hard to get this alien image off my sight, only to find myself falling deeper into that stinky world of sorrows. eventually, i come to see that this is a place where i won’t catch a glimpse of the real me ever again.

Goodbye lunch-mate

a cranky laptop which doesn’t seems to load anything except that bloody blue screen forced me to use the super big screen desktop. i’m glad both my dad & my sis ain’t home yet. if not, i can’t even picture myself having the chance to sit where i am sitting right now.

well, today marks the last day of xumige’s working life at tanjong pagar. hence, we took a photo as a memorial to our going-to-be-missed lunch days. from tomorrow onwards, i’ll be having lonely lunch like before. hopefully i can get used to this awkward feeling all over again. anyways, pardon my flat hair; it’s still taking the shape of my egg face. *laughs*

queued for the well-loved muffins from chocolat n spice after lunch. bought a box (of 6) for my family and it made me really hungry in the office because of the fragrance coming out of them. again, pardon the badly taken shot of them because we were so eager to eat them that i didn’t have time for a nicer shot. in any case, you just need to know they taste great! (:

on another note, didn’t have much motivation to work recently. have been feeling pretty lethargic; when i try to concentrate on something, the words kinda danced to the lullaby playing in my head. at times, the long wait, for something that never arrives, really demoralises…

Wii + MJ

spent the day with the clique (minus pzz). we turned xumige’s place into an entertainment deck! *laughs* played her Wii, followed by PSP’s monster hunting for guys and NDS’s big brain academy for girls inside the room. ended the day with mahjong after dinner. well, i won $5 worth of chips! if only it was real money.. it would have covered i guess, my transport and dinner? anyways, if we make this a weekly thing, it might be something nice to look forward to.. (:

ps: stop calling me a dial-up! LOL

Long-winded boy

translated an SMS joke from mummy’s phone. i think i’ll die if i have a son like that. *laughs*

mum: ah boy, go and help me buy soft drink.
boy: sure, you want coke or sprite?
mum: coke.
boy: can or bottle?
mum: erm, bottle.
boy: normal or diet?
mum: normal.
boy: 500ml or 1l?
mum: (slightly irritated) tsk! you very naggy leh. water can already lah.
boy: distilled or mineral?
mum: distilled.
boy: okay, iced or non-iced?
mum: (angry) TSK! stop asking or i’ll whack you with a broom.
boy: wooden or plastic one?
mum: (fuming mad) you’re really getting on my nerves!
boy: body one or brain one?
mum: (panting mad) i.. i think i’m.. i’m going to vomit blood soon.
boy: oh, then do you need a pail or should i help you to the toilet?
mum: *faints*

Hole in pocket

look at my pathetic stats. hahaha. and that is how much it fluctuates daily. anyways, TGIF! i’m glad my nikon email is finally up and running (after being down for weeks) because that makes it possible for me to do my work again. right, i spent one-third of my pay straight after work which explains the title of this post. but well, you may not want to know why..

i’m curious, tell me!

Reds vs Blues 2nd league

credits to the pretty boy’s own goal in the previous league, i had to stay up until 5plus for the ET. the Reds could have already gotten their passport to Moscow if not for that fateful goal. but well, don’t read on if you don’t want to know the results. *smirks at gladys*

through my sleepy eyes…

Labour day eve

pamper yourself on this well-deserved break. the eve after work was KTV at aviary with the clique, followed by movie at west mall with the gang. conclusion from the KTV session, #1: Singaporeans cannot be praised, #2: tse hwee is a walking mp3. HAHAH, i didn’t claim that ok. but well, not one that produces beautiful melodies though, just one that seems to know-all. *laughs*

anyways, rushing from one place to another was what made my night a little hectic. am glad that i brought my boy along but having 9 missed calls while i was behind the wheels wasn’t very appreciated. hahaha.

went into the theatre not knowing what to expect. but eventually, got into the story and i enjoyed the movie. every part of the high-technology makes you go, “hey, that’s cool! i wished i had that too..” some parts of it kinda made me feel like i was watching transformers.. and there were really LOL parts too. do catch it if you haven’t! (:

DAZ april meet-up

this monthly thing is getting me all smiles. at least, catching up with the lovelies brings me back to life. i felt so off right then, just before our meeting, i almost pronounced myself literally dead..

well, we met up for the month on Ben & Jerry’s Free Cone Day. nowhere special. a simple dinner at a very nearby foodcourt. so, we sat there for hours, as if we owned the whole place, reminiscing about the secondary school memories. we never get bored; it’s like a new thing everytime we talk about those. you know we could just go on and on and on… oh right, after your exams, raisa! (:

anyways, i’m now wide awake thanks to a pretty hectically packed (to-get-some-life) day. but i reckon i shouldn’t write too much in one entry. so yup, shall do so on a separate one. but well, it’s soccer time soon. so let’s cut it short and hereby wishing everyone who deserved this break – happy labour day!
