the above pretty delicacies are deliciously baked by my dear babe. YES! like after so so so so so long of going to bake for us, she finally brought me some goodies these two days.. thanks babe! but of cos, not only for me, but for whoever was present at my 2nd home, the student lounge, and the council room.

clocked a total of 11 hours at work today! it’s like so energy-draining to work consecutive days like that, especially when one of the days is a SATURDAY when all the crowds gather. but today ain’t that bad because we got “compensated” with an awesome dessert that boss prepared for all of us! it’s so rich in ingredients that i don’t even know how to start listing them. i can only say the white shiny thingy you see, is an egg. and that, settled our lunch for the day. (:
one more long day before i take a day’s break. oh well, i didn’t want a break at all actually but, boss said monday’s schedule is packed alr. so, guess i can’t have my 4th consecutive day of work anyways. maybe i should start researching for my projects.. argh, shouldn’t have reminded myself of such unhappy stuff……

headed down to the Makan Place, like finally, after morning lecture today. haha. i swear the place is awesome! Ngee Ann kids nowadays are really having good life i tell you.. but we, being just next to them, get to enjoy this facility a year too, before we bid the place goodbye. *grins*

as what i’ll always indicate – FINALLY a meet-up with my girls again. our “monthly” meet-ups are failing badly and we seemed to only have time for one another like probably once every 2 to 3 months? didn’t even get to see them before we step into the new year. ): then, dearest mentioned that as we grow older, birthday celebrations become less exciting as well. but i’m glad at least previous years’ celebrations spent with them were always so unforgettable, enough to offset the missed out for 2008. *grins*

new year’s eve was well spent. great dinner; great programs lined-up; great company; great location. in short, i had a great time. special thanks to love for the plans and all, especially agreeing to put my friends into his guest list. i know it was pretty tough for some time but everything still went well. rights, as many of you have alr known my most recent heartbreak: the screen crack (like spiderman) on my dear 2-weeks-old omnia. seriously, can’t get any more unlucky. on the last day of the trip, this had to happen. i swear i almost cried my entire heart out. but well, hopefully i can do some backing up and get it fixed soon.. so yup, if i haven’t been replying your messages, please pardon me! i had so many messages in my drafts that i wanted to send the moment i’m back in Singapore but now, they’re all stucked there because i can’t see the screen at all! *PULLS HAIR*

was in the midst of rushing my mass production of christmas cards when i suddenly smelt this butter and bake. thought mummy was baking some cookies so i went to check it out and realised she was actually baking a cake for me! *grins* seriously, she did it so silently that i didn’t even know she was baking in the kitchen. well, the aroma betrayed her. rights, then she placed all the decorations we kept for years all onto the cake. it may be a little messy but i think it’s cute! that’s the best cake i’ve ever had this year. because it was made with love. (:
